4. Fred VanVleet – 26 years old – PG/SG
2019-20 stats – 48 GP – 17.6 PPG – 3.8 RPG – 6.6 APG – .409 FG% – .388 3P% – .843 FT%
At my number four spot I have Fred VanVleet and what a big step he has taken in his young career in the last year ever since the birth of his son. Fred has taken a big step in his production this year compared to last year, as well as being in a bigger role due to countless injuries on the team he got to see big minutes as a starting point guard and or shooting guard with Kyle Lowry in the lineup.
The reason why he was so impactful this season is his capability to produce at a consistent rate, as we know he is now averaging 17.6 PPG this season compared to last years 11.0 PPG and that was a huge part of playing more minutes and playing in bigger situations.
When someone stepped out of the lineup due to injury he produced, although Vanvleet also got injured multiple times this season and that didn’t allow him to finish the incredible season he was having. (Stats from NBA.com)
