After three rounds, the somewhat crazy claim made by Kendrick Perkins is not so crazy anymore. Given everything we reviewed, they aren’t as far apart as people might think anymore. Of course, Siakam is his team’s first choice on offense, while George is in the same place Siakam was last year. And if the tables were turned, and George was the number one option for his team and wasn’t constantly struggling with injuries, then yes this whole argument is entirely different. But this is the reality for George.

So yes, I do give a slight edge to Pascal Siakam as he wins the analysis/competition 2-1. Pascal Siakam has had better team success, better defense (only this year), and has been WAY more valuable to the Toronto Raptors than George has been with the Clippers — he was actually in MVP discussions earlier in the year prior to his injury.

I do believe that Siakam is the more consistent star right now, but if both players are at the peak of their powers, I would choose Paul George. George has been a respected star in the league for a reason. However, the big problem with George is that he hasn’t been playing to his peak powers this year (I know he has been injured a lot), and he often slows down when playoffs do arrive.

So as of now, Siakam is the better player, and his consistency, heart he plays with and the impact he has had on the team is way greater than George’s this season, and he deserves credit for what he has done this season with the Toronto Raptors.
