With the NBA officially heading off to Disney World in late July, here’s a recap of what the Toronto Raptors achieved in the regular season, and a preview of what to expect in the postseason later next month.
After over more than two months of uncertainty, and most recently, chaos in and around the continental United States, the fresh scents of meaningful NBA basketball now linger upon us. Come July 31st, one of the country’s favorite sports should be back on our television screens — in the meantime, across the border, the Toronto Raptors are eagerly preparing for their title defense.
Coming off a year in which the now-departed Kawhi Leonard led the Raptors to their first-ever NBA championship, many pundits did not see this team repeating the same regular-season feats as the year prior. Having clinched a playoff spot, and currently slotted in as the two-seed behind the Milwaukee Bucks, they now must play 8 regular-season play-in games to retain or potentially improve their seeding.
Without further ado, it is time to take a look at how this year’s Toronto team got to this instance, as well as what lies ahead of them.
