Toronto Raptors: Big takeaways from first four games in the bubble

In the second edition of the ‘Toronto Raptors Heat Check,’ we’ll breakdown the biggest takeaways through four seeding games

The Toronto Raptors are back like they never left through their first four seeding games in Orlando, sitting at a  3-1 record.

As Drake once said, “Life is Good” right now for the defending NBA Champions.

The Raptors opened the restart with a statement win over the Los Angeles Lakers, followed by wins over Miami, Orlando. It was in their fourth seeding game where the team was dealt its first loss at the hand of the Boston Celtics.

Three of Toronto’s first four games were highlighted by a key performance. In the restart opener, Kyle Lowry showed why he is the best point guard in the Eastern Conference, torching the Lakers for 33 points and 15 assists.

Two days later, Fred VanVleet exploded for a career-high 37 points against the Miami Heat, followed by a 21 point outing against Orlando.

While the restart has gone according to plan for the Raptors, there’s still lots of work to be done.  While the Raptors may be on a roll, they’re far from their final form.

The second half of Toronto’s schedule features meetings with the Memphis Grizzlies, Denver Nuggets, and two potential postseason previews against the Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers.
