#3: Pascal Siakam’s jump shot is looking nice

The big asterisk on whether or not the Toronto Raptors could make a deep postseason run was if Pascal Siakam can improve his jumper. It might be a short sample size, however, it’s a good sign for things to come.

Siakam is currently shooting 47 percent from the field, and exactly 50 percent from three in his first two preseason games. His three-point shooting has definitely improved, but his discipline when it comes to taking shots has been very impressive thus far.

Many times throughout last year, Siakam would take questionable threes that were low-quality shots. In just the first two games, Siakam has passed upon shots he would’ve taken last season, which resulted in a much better scoring opportunity for the Raptors.

It’s evident that Siakam put the time in this offseason to work on his jump shot, and that hard work is paying off.
