Toronto Raptors best individual season No. 4: Chris Bosh 2009-10

The Toronto Raptors claimed a huge find at the 2003 talent-rich draft when they selected Chris Bosh fourth. Carter’s time in Toronto was coming to an end, and center Antonio Davis was getting old.

The Raptors would fail to make the playoffs between 2003-2007, but Bosh was a bright spot. By his third season in the NBA, Bosh was proving to be an All-Star and was averaging over 20 points a game in 2005-06. He would eventually appear in 11 All-Star games during the course of his career, five times as a Raptor.

While he would lead the Toronto Raptors to the playoffs in 2007 and 2008, they would get knocked out both years by the New Jersey Nets in the first round.

Bosh’s final season in Toronto was his best season as a Raptor. He was averaging a double-double with 23.9 points and 10.8 rebounds per game while shooting 51.8 percent from the field and a three-point average of 36.4 percent.

He would leave Toronto in free agency after the 2009-10 season for Miami, where he would become a two-time NBA Champion with the Heat. Unfortunately, his career was cut short when he was diagnosed with blood clots in 2015, shortly after signing a five-year $118 million contract with the Heat.
