No. 1: George Hill, Oklahoma City Thunder

Hill remains a quality offensive point guard that is putting up numbers right on par with his career averages, but he deserves better than wasting away on an Oklahoma City team that is clearly building for the future. The Raptors might have enough assets left in the tank to potentially get a trade worked out.

Even though he has missed some time due to injury, Hill, who led the entire league in 3-point percentage last year, is averaging 11.8 points per game on 51% shooting this season, showing that his ability to create shots for himself and set others up for success hasn’t eroded with age. If anything, it’s improved.

How would George Hill help the Raptors?

Given his age, Toronto might be able to snag him for either a major discount. As has been proven with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Indiana Pacers, and Milwaukee Bucks over the course of his long career, Hill can provide the offensive pop needed to help get a team stuck in the mud on offense into the league’s elite tier.

With Flynn still working his way through the trials and tribulations of an NBA rookie, Hill can give the Raptors a quality bench scorer without having to fit a square peg into a round hole by forcing a 6-6 forward to bring the ball up the court. Toronto gets a solid backup, and OKC gets something in return. A win-win.
