UCLA: SF Johnny Juzang

Juzang was a complete bust at Kentucky, and his first season at UCLA might’ve moved him into the “draftable” category. His tournament run, however, made the Bruins one of the most unbelievable March stories in league history.

Juzang’s scoring has exploded this season, and he is in the middle of a five-game tournament stretch in which the only bruin to score more points in a five-game span in March is the great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Juzang’s stock may never be as high as it is right now, and he could capitalize by declaring.

Raptors draft: Will Johnny Juzang stay hot?

Juzang offers little as a defender and ball-handler, but that shooting stroke could be much too good to pass up. A potential three-level scorer, the much-hyped recruit will need to go to a team that will get him open shots while developing the rest of his game. Sounds a lot like the Raptors to me.

Teams need to be a bit wary of Juzang, as former Raptor Malachi Richardson is an example of a player that was likely not a first-round player when he declared for the draft. That history could make some teams weary of drafting Juzang if he indeed decided to leave school a bit early and turn pro.
