Christopher could’ve had his pick of schools, but the former Top 10 recruit chose to join Bobby Hurley and the Sun Devils in order to star alongside Marcus Bagley. 14.3 points per game on 42% shooting doesn’t look like a jaw-dropping scoring average, but those stats have done erode his status as one of the best wings in this draft class.

Christopher is firmly in the first-round conversation, meaning a trade up will have to happen in order to secure his services. However, given Christopher’s ability to sky to the rim, use his mid-range game to get some easy buckets, and ignite a fast break on the defensive end with a well-timed steal, he shouldn’t last very long once the 20s roll around.

How would Josh Christopher help the Toronto Raptors?

Christopher could be a bench player in his first season, but he could be counted on to immediately step into a starting role in case of injury or a vacancy created during the offseason. From the day he arrives in Toronto, he could be arguably the best pure athlete on the team, which is worth developing.

Christopher doesn’t have the most reliable jump shot in the world, but that is an issue that a coaching staff like the one they have in Toronto could fix if they devote enough time and effort to it. His athletic potential is startling, and he could be a solid sixth or seventh man for Toronto as a rookie.
