3. President Masai Ujiri

Lastly, the most important signing in my opinion this coming off-season is the man behind all of the Toronto Raptors’ success for the past seven or so years in Masai Ujiri. There were talks after the 2019-20 season ended if GM Bobby Webster and Ujiri would re-sign with the Raptors and return.

It is still unknown what will happen with Ujiri, but Webster did re-sign with Toronto on a multi-year contract extension back in February of this year

Losing a guy Ujiri would be a massive loss for this organization, and I’m pretty sure every Raptors fan knows that at heart. Masai has been such a key piece for this team’s success ever since he came to Toronto back in 2013.

Losing Masai Ujiri would be awful for the Raptors.

From being a team that made the playoffs four times in a 13-year span between 2000-01 and 2012-13 to making the playoffs seven straight seasons from 2013-14 to 2019-20, and winning the championship in 2019, he will always be remembered as an important person to Toronto whenever he does leave the organization.

If Masai is willing to come back next season and sign a multi-year contract extension just like Webster did earlier this year, you have to get it done as soon as possible. Whatever the price is, you got to do it in my opinion you can’t let this man leave if he wants to stay with this organization for the foreseeable future.

Having a duo of Ujiri and Webster for the foreseeable future still, while adding a young piece in Trent Jr. to the team at the deadline to possibly targeting players in free agency this off-season, it’ll be fun to watch this team for years to come still and hoping they can return to their true home in Toronto and not Tampa.
