2. PG Malachi Flynn

Flynn was showcasing what he’s made of this past season, and it made a bunch of Raptors fans excited to see what he can potentially become in the future. Next season will be a huge opportunity for him in his young career as he’s going to be looked at as one of the main options coming off the bench and a producer off the bench too.

Flynn is coming off a rookie year where he averaged 7.5 points per game, 2.5 rebounds per game, and 2.9 assists per game. Now you’re probably thinking that isn’t that good, especially his shooting splits, however, for the games Flynn has started in, he’s been absolutely better than coming off the bench this past season.

Malachi Flynn could have big shoes to fill.

Next season, just like Watanabe, Flynn is going to be looked at as a key piece coming off the bench to help the team and help his development as a basketball player as well. There is also a question mark over the head of Lowry and whether he’ll be returning to Toronto on a cheaper deal.

If indeed it is Lowry’s time to leave this organization, then Flynn will be given a huge opportunity next season I think and he’ll be the main guard coming off the bench to help the scoring.

Unless Nick Nurse goes with a lineup that starts both Fred VanVleet and Flynn, a potential starting lineup next season for the Toronto Raptors could look like VanVleet, Gary Trent Jr. (if re-signed), OG Anunoby, Pascal Siakam, and Khem Birch (if re-signed) with Flynn as the first guard off of the bench.
