1. PF Chris Boucher

Why do I have Chris Boucher on this list when he took a major step in his development this year and had a pretty big role for this team this season? Looking ahead to next season and with Toronto’s need for bigs that can score and defend, we can definitely see a jump in Boucher’s minutes next season.

He’s coming off a career year where he had set career-highs in basically every single statistical category you could think of. Points per game, rebounds per game, assists per game, steals per game, blocks per game, the list goes on and on.

Boucher had a great season coming off the bench averaging 13.6 points per game, 6.7 rebounds per game, and 1.1 assists per game while making 51% of his shots and 38% of his 3-pointers.

Chris Boucher could become a star next year for the Toronto Raptors.

If the Toronto Raptors re-sign a guy like Birch, then there’s their starting center for next season. They can have Boucher’s presence and energy come off the bench, where I think it suites him best in terms of benefitting both him and the team.

Boucher will undoubtedly get a higher volume of defensive attention, and that could be useful for a Raptors team looking for some direction off of the bench.

Next. Should the Raptors get Collin Sexton?. dark
