Pick Analysis. Australia. 13. player. 100. Scouting Report. SG/PG. Josh Giddey

Nate Bjorkgren’s first season with the Pacers was a tumultuous one, but that doesn’t erase their sterling backcourt of Malcolm Brogdon and Caris LeVert. In need of that one catalyst that makes this offense go supernova, Indiana should example a stud from down under in Giddey.

Giddey is a bit of a positional question mark given his 6-8 frame, but his ability to put the ball in the basket, set an offense up, and slash through the lane could make him an instant starter in Indiana.

Brogdon is efficient, and LeVert is continuing to get better. Putting Giddey out there with all 3 of them, letting Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner handle the interior, Indiana could be a force in the East in a year or so.

Pick Analysis. PG. Baylor. Davion Mitchell. Scouting Report. 14. player. 41

With the second of their two first-rounders, the Warriors address the lack of a reliable backup for Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, as Nico Mannion might not offer the most long-term potential. Mitchell would be an ideal Curry understudy.

While not a pick and roll standout at this juncture, Mitchell can rise up from deep and make key passes, all while mobbing the opposing team’s best perimeter player. Baylor doesn’t sniff a championship without him.

Curry is as effective as he’s ever been, but he’s still getting older. Klay Thompson is a complete unknown after missing two consecutive seasons. Steve Kerr and Golden State couldn’t ask for a better insurance policy than Mitchell.
