2. Tim Hardaway Jr., SF, Dallas Mavericks

While Luka Doncic was doing it all by himself for a Mavericks team that didn’t give him a ton of support on either end of the floor, Hardaway was one of the few players that opposing defenses had to worry about. However, as a UFA this offseason, Hardaway could look elsewhere in search of a payday.

Hardaway averaged 16.1 points per game over the course of his 2.5 season stint in Dallas, and that’s with Doncic dominating the ball and Kristaps Porzingis getting his shots up. Hardaway’s scoring chops might not be the same as his dad’s, but they are worthy enough for a team like the Raptors to give him a multi-year contract.

Tim Hardaway would be a solid perimeter scorer for the Toronto Raptors.

Gary Trent Jr. is going to be in line for a serious payday, but in this age of full-speed offenses with tons of shooting, you can never have enough perimeter scoring. In fact, Hardaway might take minutes away from Trent, as he has had a longer stretch of quality production with a greater deal of offensive responsibility.

Hardaway potentially starting would make Trent an instant Sixth Man of the Year candidate and allow Toronto to still take down even the mightiest of teams from beyond the 3-point line. Hardaway has been a reliable scorer on some quality teams in the last few years, and him replicating that production in Canada is worth his price tag.
