1. Victor Oladipo, Miami Heat

Right as the season started, Oladipo looked like an ideal free agent target for the Raptors given his experience on both ends of the floor. In just one year, however, Oladipo has gone on a roller-coaster that decimated his value thanks two his nagging injury issues once again clipping his wings.

Oladipt started this season with the Pacers, before Indiana flipped him to the Houston Rockets in the James Harden trade. Oladipo ended up in Miami at the trade deadline, but he only played in four games before an injury ended his season and the Heat’s playoff hopes. Unfortunately, Oladipo’s injuries have made him too radioactive for Toronto.

Victor Oladipo is too injury-prone for the Toronto Raptors.

Oladipo, who likely won’t be cleared for full contact until November, has topped 67 games played just once in the last five years and has mustered just 88 games since the start of the 2018-19 season, never playing more than 36 in one season. You simply can’t lean on that lack of stability and durability.

Oladipo, when healthy, is an elite defender and quality scorer that would fit this roster like a glove as the new starting shooting guard. However, he’s spent more time in street clothes than his NBA uniform in the last few years, so any attempt to give him a multi-year deal should be looked at with skepticism.
