The Toronto Raptors can take comfort in the fact that they have plenty of players on this roster who can stroke it from deep, but in the modern NBA, there is no such thing as having too much in the way of 3-point shooting.

The Raptors could take a game-changer with their first pick in the 2021 NBA Draft at No. 4 overall, but with a pair of second-round picks, Toronto could look to add another young sniper that could kick the second unit offense up a notch.

The Raptors could look to add someone that has a relatively high floor, as doing so could help them pluck a potential role player from the ranks of a bunch of players that may struggle to make it in the pros.

These 3 players can all shoot with the best prospects in this class, and when this trait meets a coach in Nick Nurse that has been praised for his offense, they could develop in such a way that helps them outperform their draft selection.

3 quality shooters the Toronto Raptors could draft

3. Marcus Zegarowski, SG, Creighton

If you’re looking for consistency, Zegarowski is your type of player, as he made exactly 42% of his 3-point attempts in each of his three seasons in Omaha. When paired with an expanding offensive game inside the arc, it’s easy to see why the former Bluejay has attracted Toronto’s interest.

Zegarowski blends that ability to shoot from deep with enough skill as a traditional point guard to warrant NBA looks. The Raptors seem to agree with this assessment, as Zegarowski was able to work out with the team alongside players like Iowa shooting guard Joe Wieskamp and Florida’s Scottie Lewis.

Marcus Zegarowski could be a weapon for the Toronto Raptors.

Zegarowski can be a pest on defense, but he is coming to the NBA with a 6-2 frame that could limit how much upside he has as an athlete. Still, he is so talented with regards to his one particular trait that teams should be able to overlook that.

To play point guard for a Raptors, you aren’t going to get anywhere if all you’re doing is distributing the ball. With Fred VanVleet still not the most efficient shooter and Malachi Flynn, for all his positive traits, not the second coming of Dwyane Wade, Zegarwoski looks like the perfect punchy backup off of the bench.
