After months of anticipation, the 2021 NBA Draft is finally here, meaning that the Toronto Raptors will try to unearth the next franchise cornerstone in their quest to get back to the NBA Finals.

While Toronto missed their shot at projected No. 1 pick Cade Cunningham, the Raptors are still in a prime position to draft Gonzaga point guard Jalen Suggs. However, there has been a ton of chatter about Florida State standout Scottie Barnes. Be it via trade or one surprise pick within the top three selections, USC center Evan Mobley may still fall to Toronto.

The Raptors haven’t picked within the first five selections since they drafted Jonas Valanciunas fifth overall in 2011, and they haven’t had a pick this high since they used the top pick in the draft to add Andrea Bargnani in 2006.

One way or another, the future of the Raptors will change forever in the next few days. Knocking it out of the park tonight is absolutely critical when it comes to setting this team up for success.

Toronto Raptors odds: Who is the betting favorite to go No. 4 overall?

The latest NBA odds from WynnBet have Suggs as a -200 (bet $200 to win $100) favorite to be selected No. 4 overall. Mobley is right behind him at +160 (bet $100 to win $160), with Barnes at +240.

Jonathan Kuminga has +475 odds, prospective No. 2 pick Jalen Green has +1200 odds, and a parade of top prospects are all +7500  to go No. 4. Cunningham’s odds of lasting to No. 4 are +15000, which is Vegas’ way of saying it isn’t happening.

Could the Raptors trade for any players during the 2021 NBA Draft?

The No. 4 pick could be a very valuable asset if the Raptors want to trade for a star. Players like Wizards scoring dynamo Bradley Beal, Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard, and Thunder youngster Shai Gilgeous-Alexander could all be on the move. Hold on to your seats!

Toronto Raptors NBA Draft Predictions

The Raptors, should they stay at No. 4, should end up going with Suggs. Not only does he play at a position of lead, but he has the potential to be an immediate standout player on both ends of the floor. While trading down for Barnes may not be the preferred path, it can’t be discarded as a possibility.

In the second round, adding for a center like Jay Huff and a small forward like Kessler Edwards makes a ton of sense.
