2. Langston Galloway

Galloway is still a free agent, as he joined the Suns in 2020-21 to play reduced minutes after slightly disappointing as a $7 million per season free agent signing with Detroit. Galloway averaged 4.8 points per game on 45% shooting for the Western champions, but he remains unsigned.

While guards like Avery Bradley remained unsigned, the Raptors should look to Galloway if they want to add a veteran, as there will be fewer financial hoops to jump through. Furthermore, his Detroit stint showed that while he may not be a starter, he can still get a bucket in this league.

Langston Galloway might appeal to the Toronto Raptors.

While the Raptors appear to have their roster mostly filled out, that didn’t stop them from signing Svi Mykhailiuk, and Ujiri might not be inclined to let a non-guaranteed deal prohibit him from signing Galloway if he thinks that he could be an ideal guard for what Nick Nurse wants.

With no need to rush two guards in Dalano Banton and David Johnson that need some refinement on the offensive end, Gallaway could provide slightly above-average defense with some quality scoring. If they unload Goran Dragic, aren’t encouraging by the progress of Banton and Johnson, and Galloway remains unsigned, the fit makes sense.
