Raptors Game Today: Raptors vs 76ers Odds, Prediction, Pick, TV for Oct. 7
By Mike Luciano
The Toronto Raptors completely dominated the Philadelphia 76ers for large chunks of their preseason opener, as Scottie Barnes, OG Anunoby, and Precious Achiuwa helped lead what was a unified, motivated team that caused problems for Doc Rivers on offense due to their length. Still, Raptors odds for today show that they could be in line for a potential loss.
While one preseason game is certainly not indicative of a team that is going to be a postseason lock, the Raptors can take solace in the fact that their new approach to roster construction appears to be paying dividends.
Toronto will have one more game against Philadelphia to prove their muster in the preseason before the games start counting. Look for most of the back end of the bench to get heavy minutes and try to show they can make an impact.
Will the Raptors start the preseason 2-0 with two wins against a rival? Or will Philadelphia get revenge and even things at 1-1?
Raptors vs 76ers Odds, Spread, Over/Under & Betting Pick
The latest odds from WynnBET have the 76ers as -5.5 favorites against the spread, with Philadelphia -110 (bet $110 to win $100) to cover. The Sixers are -220 on the moneyline, while Toronto checks in at +175 (bet $100 to win $175). The odds seem to think Philly will rebound tonight.
The over-under in this contest is 220.5 points, with both the over and under checking in at -110.
Toronto might be able to help the over cash tonight, as their length and athletic ability helped their offense get off to a very hot start.
Toronto Raptors vs Philadelphia 76ers Prediction
The Raptors’ chances for success will hinge on which players the 76ers choose to send out there and how long they are on the floor. While they were missing plenty of studs in their first meeting, the likes of Joel Embiid suiting up today could spell trouble for Toronto.
The 76ers might be a bit more efficient on offense now that they have studied Toronto’s defense and have some experience trying to break it down. Don’t expect a blowout, however, as the Raptors will once again play with pace and energy.
