2. C Bismack Biyombo

Biyombo has bounced around between the Raptors, Magic, and Bobcats/Hornets for 10 seasons, but his finest individual year may have come back in 2015-16 with Toronto. Biyombo’s game revolves around rebounding and interior muscle, and his 8.0 boards per game under Dwane Casey hasn’t been bested yet.

Biyombo is currently not attached to any franchise, as his lack of tremendous offensive skill had spooked some potential suitors. If the Raptors are looking for some thunder down in the paint, Biyombo might be the best available option on the market.

Toronto Raptors free agency: Will Bismack Biyombo make a return?

Khem Birch is a solid player for what he is, but the Raptors may find that their style of play may not be sustainable against teams with more height. In a loss against Utah, the flaws inherent in this style of basketball were exposed for all to see. A competent defender in his advanced age, Biyombo checks a ton of boxes.

Calling Biyombo an underwhelming offensive player is an understatement. However, if Toronto wants to use that open roster spot on a player that can help fix their interior defense while showing he can still snag rebounds at an above-average rate, Biyombo may be a perfect match.
