Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. C. Jalen Duren. player. Memphis. 3. 38

Orlando appears to have drafted two long-term starters in Jalen Suggs and Franz Wagner while developing a third in Cole Anthony. While Wendell Carter Jr. has done a solid job of bolstering the frontcourt, swapping out Mo Bamba for Duren at center could take this group to the next level.

A truly dominant low-post player at times, Duren is both an expert shot-blocker and post finisher. Bamba has skills, but Duren may be the best old-school center in this entire class, and adding him in as a pick-and-roll threat alongside both of their standout guards would give Orlando a surprisingly deep lineup.

NBA Mock Draft: Jalen Duren looks like an instant starter.

The Pistons appear to have their point guard of the future in Cade Cunningham, but they could use some extra thunder in their frontcourt. Isaiah Stewart is a nice piece but putting Smith alongside him and Jerami Grant could be what finally unlocks Dwane Casey’s stagnant offense.

Smith is a bit skinny, but he’s already a plus rebounder and an elite shooter for a player at his position. While adding a running mate for Cunningham in the backfield might make sense, Smith would be an instant starter that is just scratching the surface of what he could do offensively.
