NBA Mock Draft: Who will the Raptors take in the lottery?
By Mike Luciano
Houstan was a member of that legendary Montverde team that also featured Scottie Barnes, Cade Cunningham, Moses Moody, and Day’Ron Sharpe. While he’s gotten off to a bit of a slow start under Juwan Howard at Michigan, he has the tools to put that slow start in the past and get back to dominating.
Houstan profiles as someone who can operate the offense from the 4-spot due to his shooting, smart decision-making, and passing. Sacramento has the backcourt talent to win games, and Richaun Holmes is a nice piece, but putting Houstan in the starting lineup next to Harrison Barnes would give them five above-average scorers every night.
NBA Mock Draft: Keegan Murray has been dominant this season.
Murray is lighting college basketball on fire at the moment, as the 6-8 forward is flexing his muscles as a scorer, rebounder, and shot-blocker. With Luka Garza in the NBA, Murray is showing that he should be able to put up similar numbers as the centerpiece of this Iowa team.
Assuming that Indiana keeps the Domantas Sabonis/Myles Turner arrangement in the frontcourt, adding a potential wing player with Murray’s skill and dexterity alongside Caris LeVert and Malcolm Brogdon could get Indiana positioned nicely for the future. Murray’s stock will keep rising if he maintains his scorching-hot start.
