1. C Jusuf Nurkic
Anyone who has watched the Raptors this year can see that one of the main areas of weakness for this team is their poor rebounding and post play. Toronto would get the chance to potentially apply a huge Band-Aid to that open wound by adding a double-double machine like the muscular Nurkic.
Nurkic is averaging a double-double once again with 13.3 points and 10.1 rebounds per game this season. The Bosnian beast is might not be the most nimble big in the world on defense, but he would provide plenty of thunder in the paint for a team that is lacking that at the moment.
The Toronto Raptors need a center like Jusuf Nurkic.
Nurkic dominated Toronto when he went up against them earlier in the year, recording a ridiculous 14 rebounds in just 18 minutes of work. Boucher and Precious Achiuwa are trying everything they can, but they simply aren’t equipped to be above-average glass-cleaners every night at this stage.
Nurkic could come in and become an immediate upgrade in that area by muscling his way into the paint for rebounds and finishing off easy looks. Khem Birch went from a solid veteran to indispensable, so it would be interesting to see the impact an established stud like Nurkic could bring.
