2. Trade Goran Dragic

Dragic remains away from the team due to what is being termed a personal matter. Even if he was available, Toronto needs to find a way to trade him before the deadline, as holding onto him makes minimal sense from both a competitive and financial point of view.

The Raptors are right up against the luxury tax, and getting Dragic traded could help them free up enough space to add a potential player that could fill their 15th roster spot. Perhaps recent 10-day signing DJ Wilson or a guard that can help Toronto improve their 3-point shooting?

The Toronto Raptors need to get rid of Goran Dragic.

Dragic is not helping this team on the court and is weighing on their salary cap like an anchor. With the Slovenian veteran not interested in playing for the Raptors and eyeing a team that could give him a better shot at winning a championship, Toronto needs to part ways.

Contending teams in the West, especially Dragic’s preferred destination in Dallas, would be all over a player like him given his experience and scoring skill. Anything is better than keeping a $19 million anchor on your team that isn’t contributing anything on the floor.
