2. D.J. Augustin

Augustin was already released by a Rockets team that is leaning on Kevin Porter Jr. and the recently-acquired Dennis Schroder over former All-Star John Wall. Augustin played sparingly in 10 unproductive games for Toronto in 2013, but his second time around might be a bit more productive.

Augustin is averaging 5.4 points and 2.2 assists per game this season, though he is making over 40% of his 3-pointers on nearly three attempts per game. While the 5-11 point guard might not mesh with Toronto’s desire to get as long and strong as possible, he’s still a productive player.

Toronto Raptors rumors: D.J. Augustin would be a solid bench presence.

Dalano Banton has been excellent over the last few weeks and has cemented his place in the rotation, but Toronto should still look to add someone that can be a better offensive contributor at this moment in time. Augustin will instantly give a team that lacks shooting the boost it needs.

Augustin is not going to cost a ton to bring in, but he could make the bench even deadlier on offense by serving as an experienced ball-handler with the potential to rain 3-pointers down on unsuspecting foes. As a 15th man, he should be a more reliable option than Banton on offense.
