3 most memorable Toronto Raptors All-Star Weekend moments

Vince Carter’s 2000 Dunk Contest
Not only will this moment perpetually top any Raptors All-Star list, but it may still be the best Slam Dunk Contest performance that we’ve ever seen. Carter, at the peak of his powers by this point, defied the limits of what people thought was physically possible in a Dunk Contest environment.
Want a reverse 360 windmill to start the night off? No problem. A one-handed windmill that started behind the backboard and somehow didn’t earn a perfect score thanks to Kenny Smith? You got it. A between the legs slam in an era when that was almost unprecedented? Why not?
Vince Carter’s 2000 Dunk Contest remains legendary.
What sealed the deal was his final dunk of the night, as he got so high he was able to put his forearm inside the rim and hang on by his elbow. With Toronto finally starting to turn into winners and Carter’s scoring evolving, this Dunk Contest solidified him as an elite player who can’t be equaled with regards to his uniqueness.
The only dunk contest that can come close to matching him in terms of the degree of difficulty was the Zach LaVine-Aaron Gordon exchange in 2016. Carter’s dunks made for some of the most iconic moments in the entire decade.
