1. Raptors will get hot late and earn the No. 6 seed.

The Raptors are losing ground to the rival Celtics, as Ime Udoka has given their defense the kick in the rear that they needed. Luckily, the Raptors have enough winnable games left on the schedule to give them the spark they need to eventually overtake Boston.

The Raptors have games against teams like the Pistons, Magic, and Rockets coming up as well as more division duels with the Celtics and Knicks. Toronto has had a problem playing down to their competition, but Boston should be worried about Toronto passing them if they correct this error.

The Toronto Raptors could eventually jump over the Celtics.

Toronto has been embarrassed over their last two games, and the odds of Nick Nurse letting performances like that continue down the stretch aren’t very high. All it would take is one or two standout performances and the Raptors would be right back on the track to postseason success.

There are some holes the Raptors need to plug up before they can get such grandiose ambitions. Will the rebounding hold up? Will Precious Achiuwa and the bench start scoring more? Can they give VanVleet enough support? Answering in the affirmative would help Toronto stun the Celtics and avoid the play-in tournament.
