The Toronto Raptors got back on the right track with a much-needed victory against the Spurs, delaying Gregg Popovich’s coronation as the all-time winningest coach. While Nick Nurse should feel good about that victory, the latest Raptors odds have them set up to lose against the best team in the NBA.

Toronto will take on Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns in their second of two matchups this season. While Toronto nearly pulled off a major upset at home, the last few weeks of Suns basketball show that this team is playing some elite defense.

Even without Chris Paul in the lineup, Booker and Deandre Ayton might be enough to in this game for Phoenix by themselves. With Toronto missing their best individual defender in OG Anunoby, the odds of pulling off a road upset aren’t looking too rosy for this team at the moment.

Will Toronto shock the world and hand the league’s best one of their few losses on the season? Will the Suns keep flexing their muscles and push right through a Toronto defense that is missing many of their best players.

Phoenix Suns vs Toronto Raptors Odds, Spread, Over/Under

The over-under in this contest is 222, with the under coming in at -110 and the over listed at -110.

Raptors Injury Report

OG Anunoby and Malachi Flynn are out. Fred VanVleet appears to be ready to go.

Toronto Raptors vs Phoenix Suns Prediction

Even without the services of Paul, Phoenix is the clear favorite tonight. With so many players from the Toronto rotation either injured or returning from injury, beating a side with the combination of depth and efficiency that the Suns have is going to be a very tall task.

The Raptors will likely be able to stay in this game if they can get Scottie Barnes involved on the offensive end early. However, provided that Booker can get hot, the Raptors might need to prepare for yet another loss as they begin what could be a very taxing West Coast swing.

Suns 105, Raptors 97
