2. What is Toronto getting when OG Anunoby returns?

Anunoby was struggling with injuries last year, and those issues seem to have followed him into 2021-22. While he is averaging a new career-high in points per game, he has missed time with both a hip pointer and a fractured finger this season. Luckily, Toronto has adapted without him in the lineup.

Even with some of the wins, Anunoby could face some challenges reintegrating into the lineup. Scottie Barnes has had some of the best games of his career in the last few weeks, but he risks the prospect of seeing his shots cut when OG comes back. Achiuwa and Chris Boucher will not get as many minutes off the bench.

How will OG Anunoby play when he returns to the Toronto Raptors?

Anunoby might need to come back as the fifth option with a great emphasis on becoming a catch-and-shoot guy. While not the most satisfying outcome given the improvements he’s made on offense, it helps utilize his ability to knock down jumpers without taking the ball out of Barnes’ hands.

Anunoby will also need to make sure his shot is as lethal as before. Shooting hand injuries are not to be taken lightly. Anunoby’s performance will be under the microscope when he returns, especially considering his growing list of injuries that have to worry the front office.
