1. DeMar DeRozan, Chicago Bulls

Just as DeRozan was hitting one of his many statistical peaks, the Leonard deal came to fruition. DeRozan continued to lead the Spurs in scoring, but San Antonio was unable to give him the championship ring the Toronto won upon his departure. It’s a shame he never got a ring despite giving so much to this franchise.

DeRozan has since landed in Chicago, and his scoring game has been taken to new heights. While the totality of his Toronto tenure is still one of the most underrated careers of the last decade, DeRozan’s 2021-22 season is up there with any individual effort from his Raptors days.

Toronto Raptors: Is DeMar DeRozan finally getting a ring?

The Bulls have quite the Big Three between DeRozan, Zach LaVine, and Nikola Vucevic. With the likes of Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso, and Ayo Dosunmu in supporting roles, the Bulls have enough ammo to potentially leapfrog one or two of the teams ahead of them in the standings.

DeRozan has been too good for too long. Watching him exit his prime without a shot at a ring would be an egregious middle finger from the basketball gods. Luckily, DeRozan picked his free agent destination well, as the Bulls have the horses to make a sustained run in the postseason.
