Kansas: Christian Braun

While projected lottery pick Ochai Agbaji has been the main source of juice behind this Jayhawks team, Braun has been an exemplary second star. While Braun’s shooting helped him get a spot in the starting lineup, his evolution as a player has helped him become even more lethal than anyone anticipated.

Braun is averaging 14.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. With 1.3 offensive rebounds per game and a 3-point shot that helped the Jayhawks fend off some tough Big 12 competition, teams in the first half of the second round will be tripping over themselves to get a shot at Braun.

Christian Braun fits the Toronto Raptors’ system.

Braun’s issues stem from a general lack of amazing athletic ability. While his effort on defense is admirable at times, Braun does not profile as a solid on-ball playmaker due to his poor quickness. He also has just one year of very good production in his collegiate career.

Braun’s value lies as a scorer, though his athletic problems will likely make it tough for teams to put up with a steep defensive learning curve. Toronto is one of the few teams in the league with the support system needed to make Braun a more complete two-way player.
