Duke: Wendell Moore Jr.

Lost in the whirlwind of Krzyzewski leaving and Paolo Banchero’s fantastic freshman year was Moore proving himself as a proper NBA player. Even though Moore’s numbers have been impressive, there’s still a chance that he ends up available in Toronto’s draft range.

Moore has averaged 13.5 points while nailing 41% of his 3-pointers. On most other teams, those numbers would be much higher. Names like Banchero, Mark Williams, and Trevor Keels taking shots away from him obscured what a fantastic offensive player he can be.

Wendell Moore Jr. would be perfect for the Toronto Raptors.

Much like Braun, Moore had some shaky results as an on-ball defender this season. The difference between the two prospects is that Moore’s 7-0 wingspan and athletic ability give him a higher ceiling than Braun. If he’s available in the high 30s, Toronto needs to pounce.

Moore can fill the type of role that Svi Mykhailiuk has struggled in throughout this season. With a few rough edges getting cleaned up by Toronto’s developmental staff, Moore sliding down draft boards could help him become an impact shooter during his rookie season with the Raptors.
