The Toronto Raptors went from a team that appeared to be locked into the play-in tournament to the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference in a matter of weeks. In their most pivotal game of the season to date, the latest Raptors odds have them positioned to come out on top against a contender.

Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics are more than worthy of earning the No. 1 seed in the conference, as their crunching defense can strike fear into the hearts of division foes. However, several factors are working against them that could end up benefitting Toronto.

On top of the fact that Boston is playing on the second night of a back-to-back, young center Robert Williams is not going to suit up because of an injury sustained last night. Toronto is not going to get a more advantageous situation against a loaded Boston team.

Will Scottie Barnes and Toronto pull off yet another win against a contender by taking down their hated rivals? Will the Celtics send the Raptors closer to the play-in tournament with a victory here?

Toronto Raptors vs Boston Celtics Prediction

Considering how both teams are built with an emphasis on defense, this has all the makings of a physically, low-scoring game. If Toronto is to come out on top, expect a scoreline not dissimilar from their road win against Philadelphia.

Despite losing two of three against Boston, Toronto has generally defended Tatum and Jaylen Brown well. If they can lock those two down and lean on individual moments of brilliance from Pascal Siakam and others, the squad might be able to pull out a victory.
