The Toronto Raptors went from a lock to make some noise in the postseason to a team that is now on the verge of getting swept by a dominant foe in the Philadelphia 76ers. A Game 1 loss featured some scary injuries that will rob Toronto of their depth and make the latest Toronto Raptors odds less favorable.
The Raptors were going to be underdogs regardless, but they could play this game without two projected starters in Scottie Barnes (ankle) and Gary Trent Jr. (illness) while key reserve Thad Young (thumb) sits out. The odds are certainly stacked against them in this game.
Toronto has enough star power in their starting lineup to shut Philadelphia down and pull off an upset win, as they have beaten the 76ers in the past without Fred VanVleet and OG Anunoby in the starting lineup. The playoffs, however, are a much different beast.
Will Toronto do the impossible and claw this series back to 1-1 by taking on Joel Embiid and Philadelphia while shorthanded? Will their losses be too great to overcome and lead to a 2-0 series lead?

Toronto Raptors vs Philadelphia 76ers Prediction
Toronto no stranger to being down 0-2 and coming back to win a series, and they might need to dig up their old Milwaukee survival playbook if this series goes the way it’s looking at the moment. Tyrese Maxey might be primed for another explosion.
Nick Nurse and the rest of the team need to find ways to generate shooting without Trent, defensive stops without Barnes, and timely turnovers without Young. Unless a lackluster bench fills that void, Toronto might go down 0-2 before bringing the series up north.
