The Toronto Raptors are staring a 3-0 deficit right in the face if they don’t come to play in Game 3 of their playoff series against the Philadelphia 76ers. Unfortunately, the latest Raptors odds aren’t very bullish on this team’s potential after getting trounced twice.

Nick Nurse needs to figure out how to contain Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, as the former’s brutish size and the latter’s quick first step have made it nearly impossible for Toronto’s much-hyped defense to really get any positive momentum going.

With so many key contributors out in this game, Toronto needs to lean on the strength that one of the craziest and most passionate fanbases in North American sports can provide in their first home playoff game since 2019. The atmosphere is going to be electric.

Will that be enough to carry Nurse’s team to a win for the first time in this series? Are they going to get tramped by Embiid once again due to the fact so many big names are not playing at full health?

Philadelphia 76ers vs Toronto Raptors Odds, Spread, Over/Under

The latest odds from WynnBET have Philadelphia as -2 favorites against the spread, with this squad -108 (bet $108 to win $100) to cover. Philly is -135 on the moneyline, while Toronto checks in at +115 (bet $100 to win $115).

The over-under in this contest is 216.0, with the under coming in at -108 and the over listed at -108.

Raptors Injury Report

Scottie Barnes has been ruled doubtful while Gary Trent Jr. is questionable.

Toronto Raptors vs Philadelphia 76ers Prediction

If there’s any game in this series Toronto is going to win, this is the one. Even with Trent potentially sick and the lack of Barnes, returning to their friendly confines in Toronto might be the jolt that this team needs to finally get one over on Embiid and the 76ers.

Toronto could take advantage of Matisse Thybulle being unable to play if their offense can get hot early. If Nurse finally has a way to make sure that Embiid doesn’t end up at the free throw line for half the game, the ingredients for winning their first game are all there.
