1. Where are Thad Young and Chris Boucher going?

Young and Boucher are the two biggest names that could leave in free agency (with all due respect to Yuta Watanabe), as Young’s veteran moxie and Boucher’s unique play style will make them hot ticket items on the open market. Ujiri will need to decide if one, both, or none of them will get another go-around in Toronto.

Reports from Jake Fischer suggest that Toronto is trying to sign Young to a two-year deal in the $10 million range. Young seems like the more likely of the two to be retained if push came to shove, but that doesn’t mean that this front office should totally abandon Boucher.

Will Thad Young and Chris Boucher return to the Toronto Raptors?

Boucher is still a solid scorer who overcame a slow start to become an invaluable part of the playoff rotation. However, considering that this may be Boucher’s best chance at earning an expensive multi-year contract thanks to his age, he could offer his services to the highest bidder.

Young and Boucher are nearly ideal power forwards for a coach who plays like Nurse, and keeping both of them would be quite the coup for this front office. Ujiri needs to either bring both of them back or develop an excellent succession plan.
