2. Stanley Johnson, Utah Jazz

Johnson was let go before the 2021-22 season, provoking a particularly strong critique of his basketball skills from Ujiri. After giving his career a new set of batteries with the Lakers, going from COVID-19 replacement signing to consistent starter, Johnson was traded to Utah in the Patrick Beverley deal.

Johnson averaged 6.7 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. After never making more than 39% of his shots in a full season, Johnson was just under 47% last year. The Jazz might not be trying to win a championship, but Johnson might have revenge on his mind after the Tampa bubble.

Will Stanley Johnson hurt the Toronto Raptors?

The Jazz may have filled out the rest of their rotation thanks to the Rudy Gobert trade, but they will still be poor enough to where Johnson will get some legit opportunities. Johnson would like nothing more than to stick it to Masai and a playoff team who gave up on him.

Johnson may have taken longer than expected, but his Lakers numbers showed that he was capable of both fixing his most significant flaws and contributing to a team with playoff aspirations. Johnson likely has not forgotten what Ujiri said about his ability as a professional.
