Wings

Scottie Barnes: 32 minutes

OG Anunoby: 30 minutes

Otto Porter Jr: 16 minutes

Juancho Hernangomez: 0 minutes

Justin Champagnie: 0 minutes

Ron Harper Jr: 0 minutes

While Barnes started slowly in the preseason due to an ankle injury, both he and Anunoby took over in the preseason finale against the Celtics. O.G. put up 32 points, including 20 in the first quarter, during an overtime win that will hopefully serve as a sign of what is to come this season.

The Raptors will ask a lot of Barnes, as he is the early favorite for the backup point guard job. Considering that he is coming off a Rookie of the Year season and has added weight in the summer months, the Raptors should feel very confident in Barnes’ progression.

Scottie Barnes will be asked to do a lot for the Toronto Raptors.

Porter hasn’t played in the preseason, but the lack of shooting that was put on display showed that he needs to be thrown into the fire immediately. Hernangomez will need to do more than shoot well if he wants to be a part of the team’s rotation when everyone gets healthy.

Champagnie won the final roster spot in the preseason, but he’ll likely get more DNP-CDs than games with tons of minutes when the rotation is at full strength. If the promising Harper plays more NBA minutes than Raptors 905 minutes, something has gone horribly wrong.
