Raptors Game Tonight: Raptors vs Heat Odds, Starting Lineup, Injury Report, Predictions, TV Channel for Oct. 24
By Mike Luciano
Burgeoning star Pascal Siakam and the Toronto Raptors were dealt with quite a brutal schedule to start the season, and it has produced three straight nailbiters that have gone down to the final minutes. Unfortunately, the team is 1-2, and the latest Toronto Raptors odds are pessimistic.
The Miami Heat picked up a three-point win despite leading by as much as 24 points in the third quarter. Despite losing Christian Koloko and Scottie Barnes to a bogus ejection and an ankle injury, respectively, Toronto managed to stay in this game and secure a win.
The coaching staff needs to come up with something big if they want to upend a Heat team that shot the lights out in the first of their two-game stretch. Without Barnes in the lineup, things could get hairy quickly if the start of the game is mismanaged.
Will the Raptors start off 1-3 for the second year in a row, thanks to a Heat squad that is eyeing their second-straight victory? Will Toronto find some way to replace Barnes in the starting lineup and pull out a win against an Erik Spoelstra-led team loaded with good shooters?
Miami Heat vs. Toronto Raptors Odds, Spread, Over/Under
The latest odds from FanDuel Sportsbook have Miami as -3.5 favorites against the spread, with this squad -110 (bet $110 to win $100) to cover. Miami is -154 on the moneyline, while Toronto checks in at +130 (bet $100 to win $130).
The over-under is 217.5, with the over and the under both at -110.
Raptors Injury Report
Otto Porter is out, while Chris Boucher is questionable. Barnes has been listed as questionable, but it is unlikely he will play.
Toronto Raptors vs. Miami Heat Prediction
Toronto starting off 1-3 would be an absolute nightmare, but it could come to reality if Nick Nurse doesn’t come ready to ball in this game. At least the Heat will not have the services of Caleb Martin in this one due to his suspension. That could help swing the tide toward Toronto.
While likely playing without Barnes will be tough, this could present an opportunity for Siakam and Fred VanVleet to take more initiative on the offensive end. Both of them getting hot at the same time could be enough for Toronto to pull off the upset victory here.
Raptors 105, Heat 102
