1. Brooklyn Nets

Oh be quiet, these guys were contenders! Any team with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving on it will get some championship buzz. While Brooklyn’s lone win on the season has come against Toronto, the Nets have been putting some putrid football on display lately.

On top of the fact that Ben Simmons has not yet scored in double figures and regularly has as many fouls as he does made shots, the Nic Claxton-led interior defense has been nothing short of an absolute embarrassment for this team. No wonder they keep blowing big leads.

The Brooklyn nets aren’t as good as the Toronto Raptors.

Throw on top of all of that the fact that Irving has been promoting some truly gross and disgusting viewpoints on his Twitter account and in press conferences, and some really unsettling vibes emanating out of Brooklyn. This team is in no shape to contend for anything.

Steve Nash looks like a dead man walking, and this roster is so bereft of consistency outside of the two stars that another excellent Durant start (32.0 points per game on 51% shooting) is being wasted. Toronto is very clearly a better team and organization despite lacking Brooklyn’s star power.
