Raptors Game Tonight: Raptors vs Nets Odds, Starting Lineup, Injury Report, Predictions, TV Channel for Dec. 2
By Mike Luciano
The Toronto Raptors have not had a winning streak or losing streak longer than two games this season, showing that they are planted firmly in the middle of a competitive Eastern Conference. The latest Toronto Raptors odds have them rated as such, as they are slight underdogs against another slightly above-average team.
The Brooklyn Nets may have started 2-6 despite having Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving on the roster, but they’ve won 10 of their last 15 games. Swapping out Steve Nash for assistant Jacque Vaughn has certainly been one of the main reasons that Toronto’s old nemesis is playing better.
The Raptors and Nets have already played twice this year, with Brooklyn winning both of these matchups. It appears as though Toronto is having a difficult time stopping a team led by two future Hall of Fame players. That needs to be swiftly reversed in this contest if Toronto wants a win.
Will Nick Nurse’s squad take down the Nets for the first time this year and get a leg up in a very competitive playoff race? Will Brooklyn hand the Raptors their third defeat in as many tries thanks to a Durant masterclass once again?
Brooklyn Nets vs. Toronto Raptors Odds, Spread, Over/Under
The latest odds from FanDuel Sportsbook have Brooklyn as -1.5 favorites against the spread, with this squad -110 (bet $110 to win $100) to cover. Brooklyn is -120 on the moneyline, while Toronto checks in at +102 (bet $100 to win $102).
The over-under is 215.5, with the over and the under both at -110.
Raptors Injury Report
Precious Achiuwa and Otto Porter Jr. are both out for this game, but most of Toronto’s heavy hitters are active.
Toronto Raptors vs. Brooklyn Nets Prediction
The Raptors were absolutely dominated by the Pelicans, but it seems hard to believe a coach like Nurse is going to put on two extremely poor defensive efforts consecutively. Stopping Brooklyn is hard, but not impossible with the right personnel.
Considering the fact that Ben Simmons, who has been playing much better basketball lately, is not going to play, Toronto could stretch an already thin Brooklyn bench to their bearing point and pick up their first victory of the season against the Nets.
Raptors 106, Nets 102
