The Toronto Raptors took on a Los Angeles Lakers team playing without Anthony Davis or LeBron James, and they proceeded to dispatch them as easily as one would anticipate. The latest Raptors odds project them to stay hot as they take on a tanking team.

The Orlando Magic have slid right back into the tanking tier after injuries to Jalen Suggs and others have made it difficult for them to build off what they accomplished last year. Thanks to yet an inspired performance from Toronto after a few clunkers, they were beaten down in Canada.

However, a win against a Clippers team that featured Kawhi Leonard and Paul George shows that the Magic can still give any team in the league their best shot. Nick Nurse walking into Orlando and assuming victory, as they have done against inferior competition, would be foolish.

Will the Magic pull off a shocking upset and claw further up the standings? Can Toronto take care of business for the first of two straight road games against Orlando by leaning on Fred VanVleet and Pascal Siakam?

Orlando Magic vs. Toronto Raptors Odds, Spread, Over/Under

The latest odds from FanDuel Sportsbook have Toronto as -8.0 favorites against the spread, with this squad -110 (bet $110 to win $100) to cover. Toronto is -320 on the moneyline, while Orlando checks in at +260 (bet $100 to win $260).

The over-under is 222, with the over and the under both at -110.

Raptors Injury Report

Precious Achiuwa and Otto Porter Jr. are both out for this game, while Juancho Hernangomez is going to miss his third straight contest.

Toronto Raptors vs. Orlando Magic Prediction

While the Rookie of the Year favorite in Banchero is going to give the Raptors everything they can handle in this game, the Magic will likely find it difficult to consistently keep the Raptors at bay without the presence of Wendell Carter Jr. in the lineup.

The Magic have won just one game out of 11 in which Carter didn’t play, and Toronto exploited their squishy interior defense last time around without him. Expect more of the same as the series shifts to Florida for the next two games if he is unable to go.

Raptors 115, Magic 103
