The Toronto Raptors have lost six of their last eight games, including a tough home defeat against the Kings that they let slip through their grasp. Nick Nurse’s squad now plays 13 straight games against teams with winning records, and the latest Toronto Raptors odds have them starting this streak on a sour note.

Toronto will get all four regular-season meetings with the Brooklyn Nets out of the way in their first 30 games. They have lost each of their first three games against Brooklyn this season, showing that the Kevin Durant-Kyrie Irving tag team is still too much to handle.

Toronto needs masterclass performances from Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet, as the former was off in the loss against Sacramento and the latter appeared to get his mojo back. Brooklyn is basically going to score 50 automatic points thanks to Durant and Kyrie, so it’s on Toronto to stop their role players.

Can the Raptors manage to get back in the win column with an upset against a Nets team that is on fire at the moment? Will Brookyn’s hot streak continue at the expense of a team that can’t seem to piece wins together lately?

Brooklyn Nets vs. Toronto Raptors Odds, Spread, Over/Under

The latest odds from FanDuel Sportsbook have Brooklyn as -1.5 favorites against the spread, with this squad -110 (bet $110 to win $100) to cover. Brooklyn is -120 on the moneyline, while Toronto checks in at +102 (bet $100 to win $102).

The over-under is 226.5, with the over and the under both at -110.

Raptors Injury Report

Precious Achiuwa and Otto Porter Jr. are both out for this game, and O.G. Anunoby will miss at least another week.

Toronto Raptors vs. Brooklyn Nets Prediction

The Raptors were unable to take down the Nets when they were mostly healthy and Brooklyn and some injury woes, so they likely won’t fare much better when the script is flipped. This team’s bad perimeter defense is ill-equipped to stop Durant and Irving together.

What makes Brooklyn such a tough opponent is the fact they are perfectly equipped to compete with a team like Toronto. As such, a Raptors team that is currently leaking coolant may not be the hardest matchup for the Nets at this point in time.
