Raptors Game Tonight: Raptors vs Cavaliers Odds, Starting Lineup, Injury Report, Predictions, TV Channel for Dec. 23
By Mike Luciano
The Toronto Raptors finally broke their losing streak, as Pascal Siakam’s career-high 52 points helped them take down the rival Knicks. The latest Toronto Raptors odds don’t seem to be buying any sort of resurgence, as they expect the squad to go right back to their losing ways.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are rolling with their new-look lineup headlined by Donovan Mitchell, but they haven’t been able to crack the Toronto code defensively. A season-opening loss was followed by a performance in which they scored just 88 points in a second defeat.
However, Nick Nurse’s defense has been beatable in the last few weeks, which could give the playoff-bound Cavs an easier matchup. When everything is operating like it is supposed to, Cleveland is one of the most difficult teams in the league to defend properly.
Will the Raptors take home their third straight win against the Cavaliers by taking apart their much-hyped interior defense? Will Toronto’s struggling unit get ripped apart by a Cleveland trying everything it can to move up the standings and assert itself as a contender?
Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Toronto Raptors Odds, Spread, Over/Under
The latest odds from FanDuel Sportsbook have Cleveland as -4.5 favorites against the spread, with this squad -110 (bet $110 to win $100) to cover. Cleveland is -198 on the moneyline, while Toronto checks in at +166 (bet $100 to win $166).
The over-under is 215, with the over and the under both at -110.
Raptors Injury Report
Precious Achiuwa and Otto Porter Jr. are both out for this game. Gary Trent Jr. is questionable.
Toronto Raptors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Prediction
While the Raptors should feel good about beating the streaking Knicks in MSG, the state of this team is still in such dire straits that they needed Siakam to play the best game of his career just to come away with a victory barely. Cleveland is a better team with more height.
While Toronto has beaten the Cavs twice this season at home, the possibility that they take home three straight appears to be very remote. Expect a very solid defensive performance that can only be canceled out by Siakam putting together another showstopping performance.
Cavaliers 112, Raptors 107
