The Toronto Raptors are struggling to get any sort of consistency in the win-loss column lately, as they can’t seem to overcome their defensive flaws. The latest Raptors odds don’t seem to think that a victory heading into the new year is on the horizon against a contender.

Ja Morant has the Memphis Grizzlies operating at near peak efficiency once again, as this team has built such a deep, dynamic roster that even the best teams in the Western Conference are struggling to overcome their high-octane offense.

Toronto has won just four games in December despite the fact that Pascal Siakam continues to bolster his All-NBA case and Scottie Barnes has generally picked things up lately. With another matchup against a contender, Toronto’s fortune may not turn for the better.

Will the Raptors be able to pull off a home upset and win their third game in four tries? Will the Grizzlies’ multifaceted, deep rotation prove to be too much for a banged up team that doesn’t have the depth necessary to hang with Memphis for an extended period?

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Toronto Raptors Odds, Spread, Over/Under

The latest odds from FanDuel Sportsbook have Memphis as -3 favorites against the spread, with this squad -110 (bet $110 to win $100) to cover. Memphis is -150 on the moneyline, while Toronto checks in at +130 (bet $100 to win $130).

The over-under is 228.5, with the over and the under both at -110.

Raptors Injury Report

Precious Achiuwa, Christian Koloko, and Fred VanVleet are all listed as questionable, while Otto Porter Jr. remains out. Ron Harper Jr. and Dalano Banton will be in the G League.

Toronto Raptors vs. Memphis Grizzlies Prediction

Memphis has a legitimate shot at coming out of the Western Conference, as they have surrounded Morant with so many quality shooters that it’s easy for them to overwhelm opponents. Putting Steven Adams in the paint against a team who let Ivica Zubac tear them apart will also help their case.

The only way Toronto can pull off the upset is by getting Morant so off his game that their offense stalls out or praying that Siakam has another 52-point game. If that doesn’t happen, expect a 15-20 start to the season for Toronto.

Grizzlies 116, Raptors 109
