2. Get Pascal Siakam to the All-Star game

While Siakam’s numbers will likely help him breeze his way into Utah this season, the combination of Toronto’s poor record and their general lack of support from the larger NBA media apparatus might combine to make Pascal’s incredible season fly under the radar.

Siakam is averaging 26.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.7 assists per game this year, establishing himself as a no-doubt top-15 player in this league. The only way this team competes every night is by making Siakam the focal point of their offense and getting out of the way.

The Toronto Raptors have a star in Pascal Siakam.

While they need to manage his minutes workload, they also need to figure out ways to make sure there are fewer Juancho Hernangomez isolation situations and more of Siakam doing his thing. Even the best defenses in the league are having a very difficult time slowing him down.

Raptors fans are among the best in the league when it comes to promoting their own best players, so the idea that he could be deficient in fan voting seems foolish. However, the team and fanbase need to combine in order to ensure that Siakam is properly celebrated.
