The Toronto Raptors have been on the receiving end of two absolute gut punches in their last two road games, as bad officiating from Scott Foster ruined a valiant effort against the Denver Nuggets and more poor calls from Ben Taylor got Fred VanVleet angry after a loss against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Playing the Los Angeles Lakers at full strength may have been a death sentence for this team, as their combination of experience and size may have been enough on their own to push LA to a victory. Having said that, the Lakers are banged up right now.

The Raptors risk potentially slipping out of the play-in picture with a few more rank performances. This game is as close to a must-win as a March road contest can be.

Is Fred VanVleet playing vs. Lakers?

After getting a sizeable hit to the wallet following his rant against officiating in a loss to the Clippers, VanVleet will try to go back to the same building and pull out a win this go-around.

Is LeBron James playing vs. Raptors?

James is not going to suit up in this game, as he is still recovering from a foot injury suffered against Dallas.

Is Anthony Davis playing vs. Raptors?

While he is listed as day-to-day in the injury report, all signs point to Davis probably suiting up in this game.

D’Angelo Russell, a popular Toronto trade target once upon a time, is going to return in this game after missing time with an ankle injury. Center Mo Bamba is not as fortunate, however, as he will miss a month with his own ankle sprain.
