1. Donte DiVincenzo, Golden State Warriors

The Raptors would have avoided so much consternation and stress if they had been able to land a veteran guard that could handle the ball and shoot. Before joining Golden State, DiVincenzo appeared to check many of those moves without breaking the bank as most of the high-end free agent guards would have.

DiVinzenco is having one of the best seasons of his career, shooting 40% from 3-point range and ending up in double digits regularly. Having that sweet shot and improved handles on the Raptors would have bailed them out so many times this season.

The Toronto Raptors should have signed Donte DiVincenzo.

The Raptors did agree to a deal with veteran guard Will Barton, but his bringing 3-point shooting to the table at this point in the season might have been too little, too late. DiVincenzo is not only a better player at this point in his career, but he’s got a higher long-term ceiling.

DiVincenzo may not be available, but he is the type of player that Toronto needs. Trying to sign yet another forward will only lead to more internal consternation and fewer victories on the floor.
