2. Terquavion Smith, North Carolina State

Very few prospects can increase their stock exponentially after getting knocked out in the first round, but Smith proved during the Wolfpack’s loss to Creighton that he is going to be a major problem at the next level when he completely lit the Bluejays’ defense on fire from almost everywhere on the court.

The All-ACC performer, who was widely regarded as a first-round pick last season before returning to NC State, might not be everyone’s cup of tea. His 17.9 points per game this season came after making just 38% of his shots. Perhaps putting up 32 points on 12-27 shooting in a game where he got very little support could change hearts and minds.

Toronto Raptors draft: Terquavion Smith is a bucket-getter.

Smith’s inefficiency might scare some teams away, but his ability to generate offense while holding his own as a defender in spite of his size could be a very interesting combination of traits for Toronto to work with. Think of him as a player in the mold of Jordan Clarkson.

Smith was done a huge disservice with the Wolfpack, as a lack of quality talent following the departure of Dereon Seabron forced him to do all sorts of crazy things just to get this offense functioning at a point of baseline competence. Things will be different in Toronto.
