San Diego State: SG Matt Bradley

Drafting an undersized veteran guard from San Diego State? Why would we want to take Malachi Flynn again? Be patient, dear reader. Bradley may come from the same system while putting up excellent numbers in the same vein as Flynn, but the pair are quite different prospects. Bradley could be a better fit in Toronto.

Bradley played three years at Cal on top of his two years with the Aztecs, hitting double figures in all five of them and topping out at 18.0 points per game. Bradley is a deadly 3-point shooter, making 39% during his five-year college career and connecting on 47% during one of his seasons at Berkley.

Toronto Raptors draft: Will Matt Bradley be better than Malachi Flynn?

Drafting a five-year senior is always a risk due to the fact the developmental ceiling might be lower. Bradley’s minutes and points per game also shrunk dramatically during his second season with the Aztecs, raising concerns about his immediate fit in the NBA.

Bradley might not be the highest draft pick, but the Raptors seem like the type of team that would be interested in a guard that is built like a running back with a sweet 3-point shot. Bradley will be a Raptors 905 star as a rookie.
